Sales Engineer

Fetch Technologies enables organizations to extract, aggregate and use information from sites across the Internet. Fetch’s artificial intelligence-based agent technology allows information extraction directly from the deep web, and seamless integration of that information into an organization’s business processes. Major corporations, news agencies, screening organizations and retailers use Fetch for a myriad of applications, including market intelligence, news monitoring, candidate verifications and broad price extraction.

We are looking for a Sales Engineer to work with Sales on new and existing accounts. Ideal candidates have the ability to effectively communicate the value of Fetch’s solutions (both functionally and technically) to prospective customers. This includes the ability to uncover business requirements, develop a technical sales strategy, and create and effectively demonstrate solutions that address customer requirements. This role works in a fast-paced high-energy market segment and candidates should be able to successfully balance multiple projects.

Job Description:

  • Manage technical pre-sales activities and communication
    • Serve as the primary technical liaison for potential clients
    • Run and manage webinars
    • Design and provide domain-specific demos to prospective clients
  • Manage the solution design process:
    • Manage the overall process for scoping and pricing the customer solution
    • Coordinate with customers to understand their technical requirements and goals
    • Design a solution using Fetch’s products and third-party integration components
    • Collaborate with Sales on business case development
    • Prepare and manage internal and external customer technical communications and documentation

Job Requirements:

  • Computer Science or Engineering degree
  • 3 to 5 years experience as a sales engineer, business analyst, or technical product manager
  • 2 to 4 years solutions design experience
  • Experience in core web technologies (HTML, XML, relational databases [e.g. SQL Server and/or MySQL])
  • Experience working with enterprise software applications
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, and proven ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical staff
  • Ability to work with external customers to gather, analyze and document requirements for a project, and collaborate with internal technical staff to design a solution that meets customer needs
  • Must be able to work under tight deadlines without supervision, and be comfortable presenting technology demonstrations to all levels ranging from engineers/business analysts to C-level executives.
  • Must be able to communicate technical information to both a technical and non-technical audience.
