Sr. Systems Engineer
Fetch’s Sr. Systems Engineer will need to be a jack of all IT trades in support of a quickly growing company. When at an impasse on an incident or problem the ideal candidate will proactively search a solution, be it with our vendor support or through individual research.
Job Description:
- Modify, maintain, improve, and troubleshoot existing systems.
- Directly responsible for the installation, administration, maintenance and of all servers and network devices.
- Configure and maintain network devices (Juniper / Palo Alto Networks) such as switches, routers, firewalls.
- Install, upgrade and patch: applications, operating systems, firmware, drivers, etc.
- Analyze and resolve operating systems and applications issues on various systems.
- Work with vendors to troubleshoot/maintain existing systems and install new systems into Fetch’s current systems architecture.
- Evaluate current systems-related strategies; recommend changes to achieve organizational and customer focused goals.
- Experience with Microsoft Server, Exchange and SQL.
- Proactively monitor systems performance and implement processes and procedures to insure systems availability.
- Create, maintain, and update Disaster Recovery Plan.
- Configure and maintain backup and recovery management.
- Provide 24×7 IT operations, with adjusted working hours as needed

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, will substitute degree for equivalent experience and certifications.
- Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) / Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE).
- VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP) or VMware Certified Professional (VCP).
- Extensive knowledge of VMware, Microsoft and non-Microsoft tool sets.
- Highly motivated and willing to learn new and exciting technologies.
- Prior experience with SQL Server (Preferred).
- Prior experience with SQL Server monitoring and capacity planning (Preferred).
- Must be willing to work non-standard hours and be on-call nights and weekends
